History

Bound to precision by tradition

In 1948, MECANOR SA was founded as an independent supplier to the watch-making
industry. The company focused on manufacturing fine mechanical components from the
very beginning.

During the crisis of the Swiss watch-making industry in the 1970s, the product portfolio
was adapted to the market requirements. During that time, the company successfully
implemented customer diversification.
